Blue Moon, Agave Nectar Ale

Dang that's sweet.  Seriously sweet.  Almost off-puttingly sweet at first.  But, about halfway though I was used to it.  Once you get through the agave sweetness it's pretty good.  A well-rounded wheat ale.

Yeh... the further I get through this pint, the more I like it.  Mhm.  That's good.

If I was in a better mood I'm sure I could more throuroughly describe what I like about it, but, oh well.

Good beer.  Unique experience.  Will try again.

Shock Top, Belgian White

I get where they were trying to go with this beer, but I'm pretty sure they missed.  I didn't do any "research" before I took one of these out of the cooler at Kroger.  The internet says that it's produced by Anheiser-Busch

I was expecting a light, crisp, citrisy, wheat ale.  What I got was a bland, malty, overly carbonated, mediocre beer with a shot of orange drank.

Red Brick, Dog Days Ale

Wow.  I love this stuff.  I bought a quart growler from 5 Points Growlers on recommendation from one of the staff.

This beer has everything that makes summer brews great.  It's a crisp, refreshing, easy drink that doesn't overwhelm you with complex over the top flavors.  I'd love to have a tall glass of this on standby for a post-lawn-mow celebration out on the front porch in my rocker.  If I host any BBQ's this summer, I'll be serving the Dog Days.  In fact, I can just see a golden pint accompanying a plateful of grilled shrimp skewers and corn on the cob.

I feel inspired, man.  BBQ at my place before the month's out.  Now I have an excuse to get a gallon growler.

Oh yeh... the taste.  Simple, but with strong character.  Citrus, spice, wheat, hops, carbonation: perfectly balanced. Seriously, it's zen-like.

Bell's Oberon Ale

American pale wheat ale.  First impressions were great.  Very light yet flavorful, although it had a funky aftertaste.  Perfect carbonation.  I'd prefer it over any grocery store macrobrew, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it.
