Brooklyn, Brown Ale

Beautiful walnut brown color.  Not much light shows through.  Crisp bite without a ton of hops.  This is another Brooklyn that impresses me.  I must seek out more from this brewhouse.

Gaffel, Kolsch

Kolsch?  What's a Kolsch?

This is the first import I've had in a long time.  Very pale in color.  Yummy, malty, bready, yet light.  A medium bitter bite on the tail makes you want more.

The dude at 5 Points Growlers said this is a good drink for this time of year and he was right.  It went down easy and was quite refreshing.  My limit of one pint per night kept me from pooring another one.

Good stuff.

Blue Moon, Agave Nectar Ale

Dang that's sweet.  Seriously sweet.  Almost off-puttingly sweet at first.  But, about halfway though I was used to it.  Once you get through the agave sweetness it's pretty good.  A well-rounded wheat ale.

Yeh... the further I get through this pint, the more I like it.  Mhm.  That's good.

If I was in a better mood I'm sure I could more throuroughly describe what I like about it, but, oh well.

Good beer.  Unique experience.  Will try again.

Brooklyn Lager

Dang, that's a lot of flavor.  All the best beer I've had up to this point has been on tap at or near a microbrewery.  I always figured you had to get it that way in order to enjoy a good one.  This is my first experience that breaks the pattern.

I told the guy at 5 points bottle shop that my usual is Yuengling, but I wanted something better.  He gave me a Brooklyn Lager and said "you'll want one of these so you can at least tell what a real lager is supposed to taste like".  Yeah buddy.

Good stuff.  Citris and malt.  Huge head.  Lotsa lace.  Will try it again.
